This month we have chosen CINEMA PARADISO as our CLASSIC MOVIE of the month. Each month we will be choosing a timeless and classic picture which we think you loved at the time and would just love to see again. If you have a favourite do let us know so that we can consider this for future viewings.
Young Salvatore Di Vita (Salvatore Cascio) discovers the perfect escape from life in his war-torn Sicilian village: the Cinema Paradiso movie house, where projectionist Alfredo (Philippe Noiret) instills in the boy a deep love of films. When Salvatore grows up, falls in love with a beautiful local girl (Agnese Nano) and takes over as the Paradiso's projectionist, Alfredo must convince Salvatore to leave his small town and pursue his passion for filmmaking. Voted by Guardian readers as “The greatest foreign film of all time”. (subtitled).
Cinema Paradiso contains moderate sex references, nudity, threat and injury detail.
Please refer to the new seating plan for this performance which conforms to the new requirements as laid down by the Government. The seats are in "bubbles" of two and three. You are more than welcome to book a single seat from a bubble. If you can see that either one or two seats have already been taken in one particular bubble, then please do not book the remaining seat next to it, if you are from a different household or family. We can only accept bookings of up to 6 people.
The Government has announced that all cinema goers must wear a mask on arrival, throughout the duration of a film (with the exception of eating and drinking) and on departing from the cinema. Please ensure you have a mask that works for you and particularly if wearing glasses to prevent them from steaming up.
Please do call us if you need any help with booking or you are unsure. You may need help when booking a single seat or you may have a question which we would be delighted to help you with.
