StreetNation - The Reboot signifies rebooting after the lockdown. It showcases a mixture of dance routines to demonstrate how hard the children have worked online and in class over the last 22 months.
Streetnation has been running 13 years this month and this will be their 7th show. In that time they have seen 100s of wonderful children come through their studio doors. They have been both talented and inspirational.
Streetnation was set up by Karen and Nadeana all those years ago, to be an alternative to ballet, tap and modern. They found there was nothing in the area that embraced the art of street dance so went about trying to establish a school that could be a no pressure environment for children and young adults to hone their creativity.
13 years on and they have done countless performances such as Her Majesty’s Theatre, The O2 and local festivals. They’ve gained some incredible exam results and have been praised by the IDTA for the number of male dancers in the company.
Throughout the years they have been lucky enough to have been supported by some incredible teachers and their current teachers Deeza and Ollie have been a wealth of artistic and creative importance to Streetnation. The last couple of years have been tricky as they have for everyone, but the children and parents that have supported them through the lockdown by going to online classes have been unbelievable and have enabled them to continue on, of which they are extremely grateful for.
